Outreach

Throughout the years, we have seen a large number of local church congregation fall, to a point where many of the churches within our communities have closed altogether.

Many people have become disillusioned by the news they hear on the TV, others just drift away with all the pressures of their daily lives. But more and more we see churches with little and no younger generations and youth coming through, to continue the church in the next season.

We believe that the church is God’s mission base, we are here to glorify His name, and pass on the good news of the gospel of Christ Jesus.

We try to be as active and visible as possible within the local community, and are blessed to have a strong Sunday School, and youth groups. We thank the Lord for sustaining us and directing our paths within our ministries.

In addition to our main worship times we support a number of other activities to share this message to others that may not know.

Within all our outreach groups, we use to reach the community we do not sacrifice the doctrinal purity of the Word of God, that is essential for developing correct beliefs and lifestyle.

Sunday School

We believe that teaching our children about the Lord, and showing them the blessings that have been given to us though His word, and Godly principles of living.

We believe what the bible tells us in;  Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (KJV)

We have our Sunday school classes in the fellowship area on the ground floor of the church.

Bethany Bible Club ‘BBC’ (ages 4-7years)

Bethany Bible club is held every Friday between 5:00pm – 6:15pm. It has changed since the summer holidays by splitting the age groups into 2, this was to provide more specific activities to the age groups, and in turn more children may come and enjoy their time, playing while learning about our Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for us.

Crusaders (ages 7-11years)

Bethany Crusaders starts straight after BBC. We have a good group of youngsters of ages between 7years – 10years. There is a lot of fun within the group, and we have craft times and games based on a bible theme so we all learn while having a good time. At the end of the evening there is a small snack time.

Youth (ages 11-18years)

Our youth group meet on a Friday evening, for fellowship within the Church. The meetings are in an informal atmosphere, with open discussion on structured scriptural topics. Following the discussions and devotionals we usually have games and activities within the fellowship hall.
Throughout the year we arrange a number of activities including barbecues, sports days, cinema trips. We also arrange a longer holiday time where we take a group for a few days holiday during the school breaks.

Puppets Ministry

Glyn & Margaret Rudd go into local schools on a regular basis presenting the Gospel to the children by using puppets. To some children this is the only time they hear about Jesus. They are at present time in over 60 different schools on a regular basis.

Matthew 28:16-20 (King James Version)

16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
